Warranty
The Products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Buyer is entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Buyer is also entitled to have the Products repaired or replaced if the Products fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Products sold are of a second-hand nature, whilst most stock is new, some items may be ex-demo showroom stock, or missing packaging but will all be in working order. All products are covered by three (3) month warranty from date of purchase.
As second-hand goods are covered by our guarantee, the age, price, and condition must be considered, and the guarantee of acceptable quality still applies to imperfect or second-hand goods.
It is recommended that you should inspect products prior to purchase, otherwise you may not be entitled to a remedy. There is no Refunds Returns or Exchanges for mere change of mind on purchases.
Notwithstanding this clause, the liability of Seller in respect of a breach of a consumer guarantee or any warranty made under these Conditions for any Products not of a kind ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic, or household use is limited to the extent permitted by law and at the option of Seller to:
a) replacing the Products or the supply of equivalent Products.
b) the repair of the Products.
c) the payment of the cost of replacing the Products or of acquiring equivalent Products.
OR
d) the payment of the cost of having the Products repaired.
To the extent permitted by law, all other warranties whether implied or otherwise, not set out in these Conditions are excluded and Seller is not liable in contract, tort (including, without limitation, negligence, or breach of statutory duty) or otherwise to compensate the Buyer for:
a) any increased costs or expenses.
b) any loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts or anticipated savings.
c) any loss or expense resulting from a claim by a third party; or
d) any special, indirect, or consequential loss or damage of any nature whatsoever caused by Seller’s failure to complete or delay in completing the order to deliver the Products.
To the extent permitted by law, if Seller finds a Product (or any part) to be defective, it will at its option, repair or replace such Products on the following terms:
a) The Products or any part must not be inspected, altered, or repaired by any person other than the Seller’s authorised representatives.
b) This warranty does not cover damage due to wear and tear, improper installation, abuse, improper maintenance, unauthorized service, misuse, neglect, or failure to correctly follow any instructions or procedures supplied by Seller or manufacturer in respect of the Products.
c) We reserve the right to request proof of purchase.
d) Warranty is not transferable
e) Products purchased internationally will not be covered under warranty or qualify for technical support or repairs.
f) The Products must be returned to the Seller at the Buyer’s cost.
g) Products repaired under warranty by the Seller will be returned to the Buyer at the Sellers cost and using the nominated freight method of the Seller.
h) Except as herein provided or in additional specific product warranty statements all general law and statutory warranties implied in relation to the sale of the Products are excluded.
i) The Seller will not be liable to pay compensation for any injury, loss or damage in connection with the return, repair or replacement of the Products.
j) The Seller gives no warranty for Glass components, Lamps, Reflectors, Colour Wheels, Glass gobos, Dichroic filters, and Glass lenses.
k) Units that have reached or have unit hours indicating the units are powered or have constant power will void warranty as this indicates mistreatment of the unit. All products are design for entertainment / temporary installations and are not rated for commercial application unless specified otherwise on architectural products.
l) For sale of Products other than those to a consumer, the Seller accepts no responsibility for any minor variations between samples of Products shown to the Buyer and the Products supplied.
m) For sale of Products other than those to a consumer, the Seller accepts no responsibility for errors in any calculations, estimates or advice of any nature given by any member of its staff in relation to the Products.
n) The Seller accepts no responsibility for Products used for purposes other than those for which they are commonly supplied.
o) The Seller accepts no responsibility for minor scratches on the surface of Products, or for damaged packaging.
p) Our Products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled:

- To cancel your service contract with us, and
- To a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value.
You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with Products. If a failure with the Products or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done, you are entitled to a refund for the Products and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund for any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the Products or service.
Lamps/Plugs
Unless otherwise specified in the order, the Products do not include power plugs or lamps.
Warranty Coverage – Included Components
All items sold are inspected and tested by our experienced technical team to confirm mechanical working order. However, superficial wear and cosmetic imperfections are expected on second-hand goods.
Within the specified warranty period, we cover the following components:
- Electronic and magnetic ballasts
- Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
- Wiring looms and harnesses
- Stepper motors
- Labour associated with warranty repair
Warranty Claim Process
- Products must be returned to Recycled-Tech’s Sydney office for assessment and repair.
- Return shipping to Recycled-Tech is the responsibility of the purchaser.
- If a warranty claim is accepted, Recycled-Tech will cover the cost of return shipping back to the purchaser.

While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of product descriptions and the operational condition of equipment, Recycled-Tech does not guarantee that any item will meet the purchaser’s specific expectations unless expressly stated. Purchasers are encouraged to inspect or inquire about the product condition prior to purchase.
Freight Costs
Freight costs are calculated from our HQ in Silverwater to the purchasers location unless otherwise specified. These costs are separate and are not included in the listing. The purchaser is welcome to collect orders directly from our HQ. Please note that some listings are from third-parties, and separate arrangements are to be made.
International Orders
Our products are available exclusively to customers within Australia. We do not accept international orders, and we do not deliver to addresses outside Australia.
